The role    In this role you will provide a second line audit, validation and governance function within Claims, carrying out validation audits, risk/ compliance reviews, and validation of closed file reviews.     You will     Create and maintain a schedule of audits in line with business, regulatory and contractual requirements.  Ensure first line audit activity is accurate and appropriately managed and communicated to senior management.  Assist the Technical Claims Director and Audit and Compliance manager in routine activity aimed at ensuring risk management and controls are effective within the business.  Carry out detailed preparation and planning work for audits to ensure that the scope is agreed with stakeholders and that the format of the audit provides output aligned to the objectives.   Document results of technical claims audits comprising  file assessments, process reviews, ICOB, Treating the Customer Fairly, Complaints, Fraud and FSA audit, within specified area, ensuring the audit is published to timescale.  Liaise with senior management within claims to de-brief on audit activity, discuss and reach agreement on audit outcomes and compiled robust management action programmes to rectify any shortcomings.   Provide guidance on practices to address identified issues.  Analyse the audit results recommending actions for improvements and therefore contributing to the delivery of continuous improvement in cost control and customer experience within claims and give feedback to Senior Claims management and other stakeholders.   Monitor progress against action plans and provide feedback to Claims Risk and Compliance Manager and Claims Management.  Participate in the internal Closed File Review process including committee discussions to ensure that areas of leakage are identified, quantified, the audit is completed within timescale and that consistency of approach is present across the various Claims  sites.   Where required, carry out appropriate number of internal Quality Assurance assessments using QA systems or case manager&#x26;rsquo;s work and provide feedback to Risk  Compliance Manager and local management stakeholders on findings and identified training needs.  Where required, deliver coaching and feedback to case managers on their performance.  Look for opportunities to improve working practices and procedures, making recommendations to the Risk and Compliance Manager, Technical Claims Director and Senior Management Team for change where appropriate.
